Welcome to Support America’s
Armed Forces
On behalf of the SAAF Board, the military servicemen and women,
and their families please accept our heartfelt thanks for your time and efforts
to show your support. How you decide to
support is up to you.
There are several ways to show your support; cards (all occasions)
care packages, letters, email, donations to SAAF to help with shipping costs
and to assist the military families remaining behind that may need assistance.
If you are also interested in
doing your own collection of our TOP 15 items, please contact
vicky@mohlermanor.com before you start your collection.
Supporting our armed forces is a great way to bring your friends,
family, co-workers, organizations and businesses together to make a
difference in the lives and morale of the military men and women currently
serving and are deployed overseas.
Thank you in
advance for your time and support.
Here's how you can help support
our Troops.
First and foremost I would like to invite you to navigate through
our entire program, to get firsthand information and an understanding on who we
are and how we are successful in reaching out and connecting with our Troops.
·
We have a current list of deployed Troops of all military
branches. On occasion the branch of your
choice may not be available, as we are not privy to their work schedules and
missions. Once a Point of Contact (POC)
is identified, good communications are set in place.
·
Each Military Point of Contact (POC), will act as the prime person
responsible for distributing the letters, cards and care packages to those
soldiers, marines, sailors, airmen, and coasties that generally do not receive
on a frequent basis. We have had a tremendous success due to the response
from our communities local and across the country.
·
Review the information provided on this page; then click on
the link at the bottom of the page to contact us. Your
requests, questions and inquiries will be handled promptly.
·
Once you contact our program and request to adopt, we contact the
platoon, unit or squadron to inform them of your request to support. This
is done by providing them your name and email address.
·
This is important to provide in advance notifications so that they
are aware of how you obtained their information and will be looking forward to
your contact. In parallel we prepare
your POC information; this will contain the POC's name, exact mailing address,
email address and when available a photo.
·
When you receive an email from your POC, you are welcome to
forward his/her message and photos but it is required to remove the email
address, so that the Troop does not get mail from unknowns. This is for their safety as well.
Note: They will only open care packages that are pre-approved by
the Adopter identified or from their own personal family ties.
·
Wish List (Items the Troops are requesting), these may often
change due to weather conditions. Once
you connect with your Troop, you can inquire what they would like to receive
from home or check out our Top 15 items, provided below.
